UPCOMING PERFORMANCES

Biggest event of the season coming up is April 24th, Wednesday evening at 6 pm, Ashland Springs Hotel - a benefit concert for ParkMusicBeauty.org, supporting extraordinary musicians in Lithia Park throughout the warm months of 2024. This event includes a delicious dinner and my performance with “The Friends of Flare”, a five piece ensemble of piano and strings playing my original music as well as familiar tunes. You can make your reservations at the website. Go to the upcoming events page and you’ll be guided through that process.

For park performances, I am expecting some good weather this week so my likely schedule will be:

Thursday, 4/18 - 12 pm to 2 pm

Friday, 4/19 - 11 am to 1 pm

Saturday 4/20 - 11 am to 1 pm

Sunday 4/21 - 12 pm to 2 pm

Stay tuned for changes. We’re shooting a movie about music in the park and this schedule may change to accommodate that.

ABOUT DANIEL

Daniel Sperry is a cellist, composer, singer, songwriter, poet, spoken-word artist, street musician and community artist, living in Ashland, Oregon. He’s the creator of five albums of instrumental music, featuring his “musical portraits” - pieces composed for individuals as a touchstone for an occasion or passage in people’s lives. He also created three albums of spoken word with musical landscapes, featuring the poetry of Rumi, Kabir, William Stafford, Naomi Shihab Nye, among others, as well as his own work. He spends many hours during the warm season playing his cello in Lithia Park, and winters composing music for the soundtracks of movies, primarily his own.
